North Malabar Gramin Bank Profile

North Malabar Gramin Bank is one of the 67 Regional Rural Banks operating in the country established under Regional Rural Banks Act 1976. The ownership is vested with the Govt of India, Govt of Kerala and Syndicate Bank. In the course of 30 years of existence, NMGB has established itself as a fundamentally strong and financially viable Regional Rural Banks in the country.

The Bank was established on the 12 th of December 1976 with its Headquarters in Kannur (Kerala - India). The Bank currently has 217 branches and 1 Extension Counter viz, 83 branches in Kannur District, 53 branches in Kasargod district, 9 branches and 1 extension counter in Waynad district, 25 branches in Ernakulam, 22 branches in Kottayam district, 10 branches in Alappuzha district and 15 branches in Kollam district.

The Share Capital of the bank is Rs.100 Lacs contributed by Govt of India. Syndicate Bank and Govt of Kerala in the ratio 50:35:15 respectively..
